Bellagio 15K...42nd place..& Christmas in Oz

Onto day 3 at the Bellagio 15K WPT event where I had a decent starting stack of 158K ….my first table was just lovely with Cliff “Johnny” Bax and Chip Reese, both world class players and cool dudes….I got it up to about 220K then that table broke and then had a seat with the extremely fashionable and talented Evy Ng ….That table breaking had me at 350K in chips , my high point of the tourney unfortunately….and moved again and again and again until I sat down and was dealt pocket Jacks in the BB….. Superstar player and sweetheart Cyndi Violette had just won a few pots and had been moving her chips a lot and had raised it up front….Steven Lui , A European player re-raised here pretty big and I had a decision to make: Re-raise or fold….I re-raised and he had them Aces and I said goodnight bitches….I really don’t like being 3rd in with Jacks with my tourney life at stake but I had many things to consider in this hand …does Cyndi have a hand? Also, the large re-raise is either an “Attack the Bull” move which Steven had done without showdown several times or it’s a real hand but really smells like AK to me…Also I had 220K at this point and the blinds were 6k-12k ,1K ante costing me 27K a round…Exspensivo….so I went for it based on several factors…..I’m happy about the way I played the tourney and proud of my last 2 showings especially since I play one tourney a month now so that’s 2 for 2 in the $$
I’m currently spending a rainy holiday season in Melbourne, where it is usually blazing hot this time of year but has been pouring for 2 days now…Global Warming? It sure seems like it…..Please check out the film “An Inconvenient Truth”…..Scary stuff...
I’ll be playing the 10K Aussie millions here in January, one of the best tourneys of the year. Melbourne has it all….Sunshine, tennis, surf and action…it is definitely worth the 14 hour flight from LA…..
Happy Holidays!!!!

Belliagio 15K day one and my new friend,Mark Heying

After racing and smoking a red corvette on my favorite drive in the world, La to Vegas I feel the need to issue a warning to all boy racers: when driving your sweet little corvettes don’t dare challenge the power of my AMG unless you want your masculinity properly violated.....
Now to the 15K Bellagio event where I had the following two extremely sweet hands: The third hand of the deck comes down with a raise up front from a player I didn’t know so I called him with the ole’ QJd…..the flop came down k109 rainbow..good golly I flopped me the nuts you see….I bet half the pot after it was checked to me and the pre flop raiser smooth called….turn makes a low diamond giving me a flush draw as well…sweeter…he check raised me big and we got it all in and he turned over the QJs...I said diamonds are a girl’s best friend and “BOOM” there she was on the river…double up the first hand!! This next hand is even sweeter…I’m in the cutoff and look down to my first pair of Aces and think to myself I hope someone has Kings this hand so I can get them chips…low and behold it’s raised up front and called by Hoyt Corkins, A cool cat. I then raised a large amount and the small blind moves in for 30K followed by the initial raiser, Hoyt ponders and folds and I call and they both had Kings!! Can you believe it? Never has anything like that happened to me in a tourney or cash game….Yum Yum…
I’m sitting on a nice 105K stack going to day 2 so hopefully the poker Gods will shine on me again….stay tuned…
At the break I met a very nice boy named Mark Heying who is a poker fan and sweetheart…Thanks for the support to him and his family.

St. Kitts 14th place blow up...

Boy oh boy did I blow this one!! Had a real chance to pop this one off but I donked of my chips by NOT TAKING MY TIME! I really should know better by now to slow down and take my time on each and every decision. We were 4 handed at my table and I been the table "bitch" as they say for the last three pots ,playing aggro aggressive short handed style so I was a bit on tilt I suppose...... I popped it UTG with the ole' A6off and was hesitantly called by a relatively snug Swedish player named Fredrick....I believe he came in 5th or so...good game to him....anyhow..flop came down 876 and I overplayed my hand by going all in to his check on the flop...9 out 10 times this type of play worked against this player but I stupidly bet my whole stack instead of placing a feeler bet and getting off off the hand..Damn red bull does it every time......the moral of the story being TAKE YOUR TIME.!!! St Kitts was a lovely little island and I had a blast at Turtle Beach with my girl Pam.......Next stop for poker : Bellagio 15K WPT..should be fun......Happy Merry!!!
